Skateboarders use private property

It seems most of my letters are questions.

Don’t we have a skateboard park for the enjoyment of our youngsters?

Yet I see the skateboarders everywhere and in dangerous situations, almost colliding with pedestrians, risking being hit by an automobile, and on private property with no regard for the damage they do.

At this time, my property is the subject of this letter. It will, I am sure, be difficult to believe, and it certainly was a shock to me, that three boys would climb up on our store roof and skateboard on our new roofing, roofing we had paid $13,000 to have installed a month ago.

Unfortunately, the boys got away without being identified, but I am sure there are some parents aware of what their sons will do and could see they are chastised and curtailed.

Yes, I believe the parents of those boys know what they might be capable of.

I have raised my children, and enjoyed my grandchildren, and at no time was I unaware of what they might be capable of!
