Simone B. Bezaire of Grass Valley died Aug. 16 at Spring Hill Manor. She was 105.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 21, at St. Patrick’s Church. Father Sylvester will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Bezaire was born July 2, 1903, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to Silfrid and Oliva Bourget. She attended school through the third grade. She was married in 1929 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Bezaire is survived by her daughters Leora Phillipson and son-in-law Jim of Grass Valley and Geraldine Hoy and son-in-law Robert of Monrovia; son, Robert Bezaire and daughter-in-law Helen of Grass Valley; son, Gerard Bezaire of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; son, Roland; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
