Signage battle

I want to respond to the letter (May 18) concerning Congressman John Doolittle’s “stolen” campaign signs.

What I want to ask the Congressman, his campaign staff, and volunteers is: who exactly gave them permission to illegally post one of his campaign signs on my private property along Highway 49 last week? You can bet I removed it right away and I suspect I’m not the only other property owner who has been spammed by one of his obnoxious signs.

If the Congressman and his staff can’t obey simple laws regarding the posting of campaign signs, why should voters think Doolittle will follow any of our other laws?
