Sign of confusion

I’m confused. Several months ago I was approached by someone representing the “No on NH 2020” groups to sign a petition in order to get the issue on the ballot. That seemed like a reasonable request. So I signed it. My understanding is that it is scheduled to be on an upcoming ballot. Now I read that these same groups are claiming that these are not campaign signs but rather an issue of freedom of speech (freedom of speech sounds really good). You can’t have it both ways. I have now lost trust in these groups and their one-issue supervisorial candidates. If you insist on misinforming people, please take my name off your petition!
