Destiny Ann Shumake and Allen Jay Castle, both of Penn Valley, were married July 20 at the Northern Queen Inn in Nevada City. The ceremony was conducted by Chris Delre.

The bride is the daughter of Margie Lee Sapp of Smartville. She is a graduate of Dacula High School in Georgia. She works as a certified nurse’s assistant at Meadow View Manor hospital in Grass Valley.

The groom is the son of Emma Morris and John Hullagarrd of Colfax and of Ron Castle of Nevada City. He is a graduate of Nevada Union High School. He works at Diamond Pacific.

The bride wore a white gown and carried a bouquet of lavender and purple flowers.

The maid of honor was Sandy Kissel of Penn Valley.

The bridesmaids were Ragina Randal and Debbie Wells, both of Grass Valley.

The flower girl was a niece, Jena Demunck of Smartville.

The ring bearer was Sergio Areaba of Rough and Ready.

The best man was John Hullagaard of Colfax.

The groomsmen/ushers were Darren Randal and Hank Wells, both of Grass Valley.

Approximately 100 guests attended the ceremony and buffet reception at the Northern Queen.

The three-tiered cake featured a Western theme.

The guest-book attendant was Danny Demunck.

The couple honeymooned at Lake Tahoe.

They live in Penn Valley.
