Short memory

The Union [syndicated] cartoonist depicting Gov. Schwarzenegger as a shopping mall crybaby for calling uncooperative legislators “girlie-men” was a classic example of a short memory. Didn’t he promise to go to the people if the bums didn’t do their job?

Californian’s recalled governor Davis because the Democrats bankrupted the state. “Girlie-men” fits those who forget the taxpayers who pay them to balance the state’s budget.

The controversy during the 1970s questioned permitting government workers to join labor unions. It posed a conflict of interest that might change our government of, for and by the people to one for its own special interests. This burgeoning corporate entity has many tentacles in and out of government, strangling those who are taxed to feed it.

Last election the teacher’s and law enforcement unions fought over who should get what in return for their campaign donations. The Associated Press (another union) called it a tug-of-war for money. Huge labor unions provide millions for media campaign advertising. The media unions also ae part of our invisible dictatorship pushing union agendas.

Many union workers complain their dues are used for union bosses’ political choices. The overwhelming vote for Schwarzenegger proved most Californians were fed up.
