Shopping center meeting set for Tuesday

A shopping center proposed for the intersection of Sierra College and Litton drives will be discussed at a public meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Grass Valley Fire Station at 213 Sierra College Drive.

Host and project developer Calloway Development LLC plans to showcase its 20,000-square-foot center, which could be anchored by BriarPatch Community Market. The project requires a zoning change from corporate business park to community business district.

The Grass Valley Planning Commission will discuss the project Oct. 19. Calloway hopes to begin development in 2005, spokeswoman Chrissie Maushall said.
