Shame on us |

Shame on us

Though Nevada Countians are divided on many subjects, we’re unanimous about two. First, we believe our schools are as vulnerable to violent invasion as anywhere else is. And second, we don’t believe insane people should have access to guns.

Unless responsible gun owners and their organizations support truly effective disarmament of the deranged, the American public, finally disgusted with the senseless slaughter of children, will trim the Second Amendment. Now we act as though children’s lives are secondary to the right of virtually anyone to be armed. Shame on us.
