Sewage spill

Area residents should be concerned about all of our wastewater treatment plants fouling our streams. We live near the Nevada City treatment plant, and have for 10 years. For the last several years the odor from the plant would linger after a good rain or uncommon wind patterns. Now, it just plain stinks regularly.

Is the Nevada City treatment plant at or beyond capacity? Is it and the city sewer system outdated? Will it handle additional proposed development? Remember…*&$# runs down hill. Don’t get me started!
