Seduced by the AP?

The choice you made July 22 to publish on the front page of The Union an article (“Environment a worry, poll says”) that was generated by a left-wing think tank with a one-sided agenda and passed on by the Associated Press as a “news” story calls into question the proper exercise of your editorial judgment.

This is an excellent example of the way subjective opinion manages to find its sneaky way onto the news pages of your newspaper; and it has happened before.

Please, consider the source! The Public Policy Institute of California, despite claims to be non-partisan, is a demonstrably liberal organization dedicated to promoting big government intervention and and central planning solutions to every domestic problem it looks into, whether real or perceived.

This article was pure propaganda masquerading as news and belongs on the editorial page, if anywhere!

Have you been seduced by the Associated Press?
