School administrators offering scholarships

The Nevada County Charter of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) is accepting applications for scholarships to be awarded to students for the 2002-03 school year.

ACSA is currently working with Nevada Joint Union High School District to review candidates in the field of education.

In addition, Nevada County ACSA is seeking letters of application from those high school seniors whose parents are active members of ACSA at the state and charter levels. A scholarship in the amount of $300-$500 will be awarded to eligible selected students. This is a new scholarship program which is offered for the first time to students in Nevada County.

If you meet the criteria for this new scholarship, write a letter detailing your eligibility and future plans for your college education. The letters may be addressed to: Nevada County ACSA Scholarship Committee, c/o Linda Kramer, Scholarship Chairperson, Pleasant Ridge Union School District 22580 Kingston Lane, Grass Valley, CA 95949.

For more information, contact Linda Kramer at 268-2800 or (916) 652 6059. It is expected that the scholarships will be awarded in June 2003 during the Awards Evenings at both Bear River and Nevada Union high schools.

Letters of applications are due April 15.
