Save the fairgrounds

The state’s “most beautiful” fairgrounds will soon be a memory. It seems that someone has decided that the vacant lot across from the fairgrounds would be a great place for a church.

Remember racing? Too noisy, gone. How about all of the concerts that have Sunday morning Gospel programs … and early music? Too noisy for the church services. And the concerts and festivals that are held on Saturdays. They would be too noisy for the weddings, etc.

The two uses are not compatible. We will lose the fairgrounds to developers. Please act now before they invest more in this property and we lose the fairgrounds forever.
