Safety corridor?

This morning driving to work on Highway 49, a CHP motor officer passed by me in the 65 mph stretch between Streeter and Dry Creek Road. As he passed by me, I could not help but notice that at least six vehicles going northbound were traveling without their headlamps on.

I have noticed the new “safety corridor” signs planted by Caltrans in both Grass Valley and Auburn and have wondered how much money has been wasted on this project as the CHP office did not make an attempt at stopping these law-breakers. I also have yet to see anyone being cited for the headlights-on while raining law. Maximum enforcement, yeah right.
