Sad state of affairs

Once again, we were saddened by the choice of comic strips The Union chose to print on Tuesday, June 8, regarding the death of a beloved past president, Ronald Reagan.

If you didn’t see it, you didn’t miss a thing. He was not given the term “The Great Communicator,” for nothing. He also brought patriotism back to a nation sadly lacking in appreciation for this wonderful free country. So free that people can raid cemeteries, burn our precious symbols, the flags of the United States, and yet benefit from all that this country has to offer. He first, last, and always supported defense and security.

His dedication to this great country will live on in our memories for a lifetime. He was, an example for us all to be as great. We truly have lost a great patriot. We salute you, sir.
