Help is needed downtown Grass Valley thrift store. Proceeds from this store go to help cancer patients in our community.
Book delivery person
A volunteer is needed to transport materials between libraries. This is a flexible morning position. The volunteer needs to be able to lift 30 pounds and be available at least three mornings a week.
Help wash and set hair for nursing home residents Tuesday mornings. You do not have to be a licensed beautician to help. We all know how good having your hair done makes you feel.
Work from home reviewing new membership applications and keeping track of membership information.
Help with activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, cooking, and low function exercise. A volunteer who plays piano is needed to company chapel services.
Assistance is needed building a stage for an upcoming performance. Volunteers should have carpentry experience and be able to lift heavy objects.
State park volunteers
Training classes are now forming to become a state park volunteer. There are a wide variety of opportunities including tour guides, gift shop sales, historic rose garden care, the Over-the Hill Gang for building and maintenance, blacksmithing and Living History. Training classes will begin in March.
