Adults 55 or older are invited to share their time and talents through the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Accident, liability and excess auto insurance are provided; mileage reimbursement is available. Call RSVP at 271-0255 weekdays (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) or stop by 471 Sutton Way, No. 202, in Grass Valley.


A bookkeeper is needed for a short shift once a week to do general office work using the computer program Quick Book or Quicken.


Instructors are needed to conduct drivers safety classes to allow participants to reinforce their driving skills and allow them to receive discounted insurance rates.

Patient support volunteer

Sign up to join the compassionate team of volunteers that offer respite care to terminally ill patients and their families. Training will be in August.

Thrift store helper

Help is needed sorting, pricing, assisting customers and cashiering.

Assistance needed

in filling out forms

Volunteers are needed to assist individuals apply for Home Owner/Renter Rebates. Training provided and appointments set for Thursday mornings in July and August.



Volunteers are needed to fill in for Home Delivered Meals drivers; High Noon Lunch servers and Senior Center office help who are taking well-deserved vacation breaks. Four hours of your time one day a week will help keep these programs running well over the summer months.

Historical park

Living History docents are needed to portray turn of the century historical figures and gift shop volunteers are needed to greet customers and cashier.

Participant assistance

Share some time with the wonderful participants at adult day services. Help is needed working with crafts and assisting participants from one area to another. Time and days are very flexible.
