Friendly Visitors Needed

An hour a week of your time can make a difference in the life of a neighbor who has become isolated due to the loss of a loved one or because they can no longer drive. Grass Valley and Lake of the Pines volunteers are especially needed.

Senior Wood Program

Volunteers are needed to cut, split, stack, and deliver wood.

Thrift Stores

People travel from near and far to shop at Nevada County’s thrift shops, which creates a need for more volunteer help.

Drivers

The home delivered meals program urgently needs drivers. Two hours once a week can help. Drivers are also needed to assist in transporting clients to appointments, shopping and other destinations.

Secretary

The Elder-Care Providers Coalition is in need of a secretary to take minutes at its monthly meeting the second Tuesday of the month at noon.

Help is needed producing a nationally read newsletter on a quarterly basis. The board members of Independence Trail will furnish articles and a volunteer publisher is needed to create the newsletter.
