The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) invites adults, aged 55 and older, to share their time and talents with Nevada County non-profits, public agencies, and schools. RSVP provides accident, liability, and excess auto insurance for its volunteers as well as mileage reimbursement. If you are interested in any of the following positions or in becoming an RSVP volunteer, please call RSVP at 271-0255, weekdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or visit our office at 471 Sutton Way, Suite 202, in Grass Valley.

Display Artist

A display artist is needed to create eight to 10 displays for a Sept. 8 fundraiser to benefit a local literacy program. The hours are flexible. Computer skills and an artistic eye for layout and design are required.

Police Patrol

Help contribute to the safety of your community by becoming a volunteer patrol for the Grass Valley Police Department. A uniform, car, and training are provided and shifts are four hours long.

Fix-It Program Volunteer

This repair program provides health and safety improvements for disabled individuals at their homes. Volunteers with knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and/or electrical are sought. They must have their own tools and transportation. An orientation and training is provided for new volunteers.
