Rough start for pet nonprofit

Fledgling nonprofit organizations are too often targets for those who have nothing better to do than cause problems. WAGS & Whiskers has been such a target and has had some obstacles strategically placed in its path. But we are a dedicated group, and we have been blessed with solid support from our peers. We’re happy to report that WAGS is emerging from the storm as strong as ever. WAGS & Whiskers wishes to thank the following good people and their organizations for helping us with our uphill battle:

PAL – for its financial and moral support

AnimalSave – for assisting us with the development of our own Web site, and for legal help.

Nevada County Animal Control – for its willingness to work with us and acknowledge our importance in the rural area we cover.

Yuba County Animal Control – for its patience in helping us to “learn the ropes.”

Nevada County residents – for their generous donations and support.

Even through our rough start, we continue to help many animals in distress. We couldn’t have done it without you.
