Rollins, Scotts Flat fees increased

Recreational fees at Rollins and Scotts Flat reservoirs were increased by the Nevada Irrigation District board of directors on Wednesday to cover what it calls increasing expenses.

Effective immediately, the vehicle entry fee for up to four people will jump from $6 to $6.25 at Rollins’ four campgrounds, and the cost will stay at $6 at Scotts Flat. The cost of an additional passenger or walk-in visitor will range from $1 to $1.45.

The boat launch fee will be $5.75 at all five campgrounds, an increase of 25 cents at four areas. Rollins’ Orchard Springs Campground will stay at last year’s $5.75 rate. Overnight camping rates per vehicle will range from $19 to $23.

In studying proposed adjustments, NID compared local rates to those at 27 similar campgrounds in California.
