Robin Sutherland has some explaining to do

Puhleeeeeeze, Robin Sutherland, enough with the crass politics already!!! Your April 16 letter to the editor was so ugly and transparent. Do you really think the voters are so stupid that we wouldn’t recognize a political attack when we see one?

I don’t support candidates who engage in negative attacks, Robin, and you’re well on your way to losing my vote. If you are going to run a smear campaign in November, the least you could do is wait a few months to start. I think we all want some time off from politics.

In the meantime, Robin, perhaps you’d use your next letter to the editor to explain how you accumulated nearly $10,000 in tax liens, declared bankruptcy, and lied to the voters during the primary when you were asked to come clean about your financial problems.

Perhaps you could explain the two investigative stories in the Sacramento Bee that detailed your tax problems. Perhaps you could explain why you voted only once in Nevada County before appearing on the ballot yourself. Unlike your letter to the editor, Robin, all of these issues have been documented publicly.

What’s that, Robin? All of a sudden you don’t have much to say? Please start working on that next letter. I’d like some answers to my questions.
