Road work schedule
Most traffic-interfering work will be limited from Saturday, June 30 through Thursday, July 5, due to the Fourth of July holiday.
Interstate 80 at the Central Truckee Exit: Motorists can expect the east and westbound off-ramps to be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July parade.
State Route 20: Work continues on a $36.3 million project to upgrade the roadway to current safety standards. Improvements include standard 8-foot shoulders, left-turn access at various locations, improved drainage, eastbound passing and truck-climbing lanes, construction of two bridges and realigning the highway in two locations between Mooney Flat Road and Melody Road. Completion is expected in the fall of 2008.
State Route 20 from the Yuba County line to Pleasant Valley Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and a full highway closure with delays of up to 30 minutes between 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., today and Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do embankment and drainage work.
Interstate 80 from Soda Springs to Donner Summit: Work continues on a $65 million construction project to improve Interstate 80. Work includes repaving the existing roadway with Portland Cement Concrete, reconstructing failed sections of roadway, replacing metal beam guardrail, rehabilitating existing drainage systems, and realigning and improving an existing curve. Completion is expected in the summer of 2010.
Interstate 80 from Soda Springs to Castle Peak: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. today; 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Tuesday; 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday; and 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.
State Route 49 from the Placer County line to Marysville Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., today, Tuesday and Thursday. A California Department of Transportation crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.
Interstate 80 from the Placer County line to the Donner Lake under crossing: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., today and Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.
State Route 174 from the Placer County line to State Route 20: Motorists can expect the east and westbound No. 1 lane closed from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., today, Tuesday and Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to clean ditches.
