Road work

— The Department of Transportation and Sanitation will be closing Mooney Flat Road to all through traffic, from its intersection with Pleasant Valley Road westerly 11/2 miles, starting today through Oct. 15, weather permitting. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each workday in order to widen the roadway.

— Work will continue on the installation of underground dry utilities on Mill Street Monday. Due to various construction activities on Mill Street, this area will be closed to all trucks from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays until further notice.

— Work on the City of Grass Valley’s 2002 overlay project will continue in the Butler Street area.

— Construction continues on the South Auburn Street Improvements Project. Placement of a 24-inch storm drain as well as work on frontage improvements will continue today through Friday starting at the culvert placed at Little Wolf Creek, north toward the Whiting Street intersection. It may be necessary to close South Auburn to through traffic at times during the work day. All businesses will be open and access will be maintained throughout this time period. Everyone is asked to watch for construction signs and proceed with caution through the work areas. Crews will be onsite between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
