Today

? On Highway 49 in Auburn: Motorists will encounter a short detour and delays of five to 10 minutes on Highway 49 (High Street) between Walsh and Pine streets from 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Auburn will host its annual “Auburn Youth Soccer Parade.?

Due to the Labor Day holiday, most Caltrans maintenance and construction work will be limited from Friday to Sept. 3, unless otherwise noted.



Nevada County:

The county will be working on six roads next week as part of the 2002 Overlay Project, and motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Work is scheduled as follows:




? Monday: Tyler Foote Crossing Road

? Tuesday and Wednesday: North Bloomfield Road

? Thursday: Scotts Flat Road

? Friday: Kenwood Drive, Plover Way and Pine Court.

In Grass Valley

Monday through Friday

? Workers will continue raising manhole frames and valve boxes on the following streets: Walsh, West Main and High streets, and Lidster Avenue.

? South Auburn Street from East McKnight to the intersection at Whiting Street: Construction continues on the South Auburn Street Improvements Project. Placement of a 42-inch storm drain will continue, starting at the culvert placed at Little Wolf Creek, north toward the Whiting Street intersection. It may be necessary to close South Auburn Street to through traffic at times during the work day. Businesses will be open and access will be maintained.Crews will be onsite between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
