Due to the Lincoln’s Birthday Holiday, most traffic interfering work will be limited on Monday.

LONG-TERM PROJECTS



Interstate 80 (Placer County) from west of Auburn to Colfax. Work continues on a $40.4 million project to: Rehabilitate the roadway utilizing rubberized asphalt concrete; rehabilitate the Applegate on/off ramps; upgrade traffic operation system elements

The estimated completion date is fall 2006. Work on this project has been suspended for the winter.




Interstate 80 (Placer County) from west of Gold Run to Emigrant Gap. Work continues on a $33.1 million project to: Rehabilitate the roadway and chain on/off areas utilizing Portland concrete cement; extend a truck climbing lane west of Blue Canyon Interchange; upgrade traffic operation system elements

The estimated completion date is fall 2006.Work on this project has been suspended for the winter.

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from the Yuba County line to Interstate 80: Motorists can expect the east and westbound No. 1 lane closed at various locations from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do clean ditches.

State Route 49 (Nevada/Yuba Counties) from the Placer County Line to Marysville Road: Motorists can expect the north and southbound No. 1 lane closed at various locations from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to clear brush.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) from McKnight to Wolf/Combie Road: Motorists can expect a moving lane closure between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. A Caltrans crew will be installing raised pavement markers.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from the North Yuba River Bridge to the Downieville maintenance station: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do crack sealing.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from the Placer county line to Soda Springs: Motorists can expect the No. 2 lane closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to repair potholes.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the Magra overhead to the Nevada county line: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures at various locations from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do miscellaneous maintenance work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Putt’s Lake to Nyack: Motorists can expect the eastbound No. 2 lane closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do bridge repairs.

State Route 174 (Nevada County) from Peardale Road to Meadow Drive: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do overhead utility work.
