ROAD WORK

Monday – Friday

— On Highway 20 in Nevada County: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control and delays of five to 10 minutes at various locations from west of Grass Valley to the I-80 junction from 8 a.m. to 3:30. Caltrans crews are doing routine maintenance along the roadway.

— On Interstate 80, east of Colfax: Motorists can expect the left lane closed with delays of five to 10 minutes on westbound lanes near Alta from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A contractor is replacing a culvert in the center median.



— On Interstate 80 in Nevada County from just west of the Fibreboard undercrossing in the city of Truckee to the Floriston Bridge over the Truckee River. Work continues on a $86 million project to rehabilitate the roadway and replace the bridges between West Boca and Floriston. Completion is expected in the winter of 2004.

Monday – Thursday




— On Interstate 80 in Placer County from east of Gold Run to Drum. Work continues on a project to rehabilitate the roadway.

— On Interstate 80 and Highways 267 and 89 in Nevada County in Truckee: Work has been suspended (due to winter) on a $33.5 million-dollar project to construct a two-lane expressway, better known as the Truckee Bypass.

The estimated completion date is late early fall of 2002. No traffic interfering work is expected.

— On Interstate 80 between Newcastle and Gold Run: Motorists can expect various lane closures and delays of 5 – 10 minutes on east and westbound I-80 between Newcastle and Gold Run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Caltrans crews are doing routine maintenance along the roadway.

— On Interstate 80, east of Colfax: Motorists can expect various lane closures and delays of up to five minutes on east and westbound I-80 between Gold Run and Kingvale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Caltrans crews are doing routine maintenance along the roadway.

— On Interstate 80, west of Truckee: Motorists can expect various lane closures and delays of up to five minutes at various locations on east and westbound I-80 between Cisco and Truckee from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Caltrans crews are doing routine maintenance along the roadway.

Wednesday – Friday

— On Highway 174, north of Colfax: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control and delays of five to 10 minutes on Highway 174 between Shady Glen and the Bear River Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A Caltrans crew is repairing guardrail.

— On Interstate 80, east of Truckee: Motorists can expect various lane closures and delays of up to five minutes on east and westbound I-80 near Farad from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Caltrans crews are doing routine maintenance along the roadway.
