Road work

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, most Caltrans maintenance and construction work will be limited from 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov, 27 to Sunday, Dec. 1 for the convenience of the traveling public unless otherwise noted.

Monday – Friday



— On Interstate 80 in Nevada County: From just west of the Fibreboard undercrossing in the City of Truckee to the Floriston Bridge over the Truckee River. Work continues on a $86 million project to rehabilitate the roadway and replace the bridges between West Boca and Floriston.




Monday and Tuesday

— On Highway 20 in Nevada County: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control and delays of five to 10 minutes on Highway 20 at various locations from west of Grass Valley to the I-80 junction from 8 a.m. to 3:30.

— On Interstate 80 east of Colfax: Motorists can expect the left lane closed with delays of five to 10 minutes on westbound I-80 near Alta from 7a.m. to 5 p.m.

— On Interstate 80 east of Colfax: Motorists can expect various lane closures and delays of up to five minutes on east and westbound I-80 between Gold Run and the Highway 20 junction from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
