Retreat for officials should be in county

I agree with Horne and Davis; stay in the county and cut the cost. $30,000 for 30 people equals $1,000 per day. How can you possibly justify spending that much money per day, Mr. Van Zant and Mr. Gaebler? You cannot possibly.

I don’t care how much you saved the county during the year. That is your job. All your subordinates don’t receive one free dinner, let alone a $1,000-a-day retreat. I’m certain there is a venue in Nevada County that could accommodate your needs for a lot less than $30,000. I’ll even rent you my house for $10,000. This is not Big Government; let’s not act as if it is.
