Senior Center

Call today to join this active group of volunteers. Receptionist are needed daily to answer phones and great the public. Help is also needed at special events and to serve at the noon lunch program (lunch included). It’s winter and volunteers are needed to cut, split, stack, and deliver wood.

Creative Cook

Create recipes with items used in a food distribution program and prepare samples for a group of willing volunteers.


A bookkeeper is needed Wednesday mornings for a busy non-profit. Knowledge of the computer program Quicken is needed.

Baby Track

Start your morning with a visit to new moms at the hospital. Deliver gifts and information to encourage early childhood immunizations. Volunteer assignment is one morning a week and will take about an hour.

Information and Assistance


Provide information, referrals, and assistance to people of all ages with the use of a database of Nevada County resources.

Volunteers needed to be able to communicate well over the phone, be active listeners, think on your feet and be experienced with the operation or a PC.

Classroom Volunteer

School has started and classroom volunteers are needed to work with individual or small groups of students in first and second grade. Volunteers are also needed to listen to children read and work on the preparation of materials.

Thrift Store

Volunteer assistance is needed to help sort donations at a local thrift store. Shifts are three hours long morning or afternoon.

Volunteers with Pets

Share your small pet with residents at a nursing home or spend some time reading mail to someone who is vision impaired.

Cat Cuddler

Volunteers are needed to cuddle cats and walk dogs. Call now to share time with a furry friend.
