If you enjoy the outdoors and would like to lend you talents to a wide variety of volunteer opportunities including Arbor Day, tree giveaway, conservationist of the year, the county fair or office support for these programs, call now for more information.
A volunteer with organizational skills and enthusiasm is needed to publicize activities and special events for a local state park.
Computer literate volunteers are needed to instruct and coach senior computer classes. Upcoming training is scheduled for Feb. 17 and 24 from 1 to 3 p.m.
People who enjoy working with the public are needed to assist the local police department in a variety of tasks. Home vacation checks, court runs, foot and auto patrol, and help with special events are examples of the variety this volunteer position offers.
Volunteers are needed to work one on one with first- grade students in the Penn Valley area.
A volunteer is needed to maintain and update the Web site of a local public television station. This assignment can be done from your own home.
Hospice volunteers are needed to become part of the patient support team. Training classes scheduled for March.
English as a Second Language tutors are needed 1-2 hours a week to work with adult students. Training workshops are provided and the volunteer schedule is flexible.
Phone Callers Needed
Volunteers are needed one or more mornings a week to call and confirm scheduled Telecare rides.
A volunteer is needed to assist in riding along in the Telecare van to transport an elderly woman.
