Republican voting for Izzy

In “Antonson’s write-in decision raises queries” (The Union, Aug. 3), he stated, “I have many Republican friends and none of them are supporting Martin.”

Well, I don’t know who he is talking to about this, but as a lifelong Republican and former chairman of the Sacramento County Young Republicans (1969), I, too, have Republican friends. Like me, they are voting to re-elect Supervisor Martin without hesitancy.

Supervisor Martin reflects exactly what we want in a Nevada County supervisor. She has a long history of active involvement in the political arena, knows our local issues, votes for what she believes in, and is fiscally conservative. Supervisor Martin also has voted in every election, has always paid her taxes on time, and has never filed for bankruptcy.

Don’t let the antagonists change your mind – vote for what you believe in. I am a Republican, I am voting for Izzy and I am proud of it!
