Report Board of Supervisors goals and objectives

I was eager to read my Wednesday morning edition of The Union to find out what the Board of Supervisors had approved for their “Vision, Mission, Values, Goals and Objectives,” for the next year. Sure enough right there on the front, page, all about the supervisors meeting. Yes, all about the supervisors meeting but nothing about what was adopted. They did tell us, once again, about all the flak over the cost of the planning workshop help in January but nothing about the plans that were developed at that planning workshop. I do give them credit – they did give information on how to access the information on the Internet, but not all of us are online. If The Union wants to criticize the board, at least criticize them for “what” they do, not “how” they do it. I would like to have The Union report the goals and objectives so I can have an opportunity to evaluate and “yes” react to what the board plans for the next year. How can we judge the supervisor if The Union won’t even tell us what they are doing? I look to The Union to provide me with that kind of information. If I want to read irrelevant stuff, I can buy the Enquirer. I expect The Union to give me more. I expect The Union to report on the issues – not just the process. You are a newspaper. Right.
