Reject those who divide

Hate America? Support al-Qaida? Painfully ignorant charges from Americans toward Americans.

Lincoln warned, “I see in the near future a crisis approaching. Corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.”

No moral justification exists for corporate America’s repetitious, preemptive bombing/slaughter of impoverished people (Iraq, Vietnam, Panama, Afghanistan, Nicaragua). We viscerally resist Mr. “I’mawarpresident” and those horribly intent on deceiving and militarizing/arming the world.

America’s democracy flounders, strangled by manipulative, distracting ‘infotainment’ and comfortable, consumerist exhaustion. We must reawaken respect for each other with informed, fearless dialogue, rejecting those who divide us. Tax relief for the super-rich as remedy? Preposterous!

It’s a crusty, ancient non-living greed (please investigate ramifications of ‘corporate personhood’) that, dare I say, “hates democracy,” hates the long memory. Communicating a better world through hope and inquiry, we are sovereign. Angry and “right,” we’re sunk. This goes way beyond Bush/Kerry.
