Regenesis |

During our Aug. 27 Last Friday Supper at United Methodist Church, Grass Valley, a group of musicians and singers from Sierra Pines United Methodist Church entertained while the meal was served. This musical group, called “Regenesis,” entertained the servers and guests, playing and singing all sorts of songs. Their music really added to our meal and made it into an entertaining event. We would like to extend our kudos to this group and to their church for their great performance and their time with us.

Dept. of Rehabilitation

Every day there are organizations that work hard to benefit the people of this community. The Department of Rehabilitation is one of them. Too often, I feel, people forget to give them the thanks they so richly deserve. So please let me take a moment to say it. Thank you to your wonderful staff for all you do!

Fighting cancer

After a year’s absence, I ran for the third time in the 10th annual Barbara Schmidt Millar Celebration of Life Women’s Triathlon in Cascade Shores two weeks ago. What an amazing event! Many thanks to the residents of Cascade Shores, the event organizers, sponsors and training clinic leaders, and the many friends and family members who made donations in my name. I especially thank my training partner Jenn for her dedication, my husband/coach John for his support and Cathy Anderson-Meyers for her incredible energy and inspiration. Fitness, companionship and teamwork – what a way to fight cancer in our community!
