Ha! Even staunch Republicans admit that if they ran a dog on the ticket, they’d get as good a result as Aanestad gives them.

Flora Pearson, matriarch of a wealthy and respected five-generation cattle-ranching family and former president of the Republican Womens Club in Redding, is so disgusted with him that after meeting his Democratic opponent, Marianne Smith, she came out and publicly endorsed Marianne for State Senate.
