Put freedoms on hold until we’re safe again

Isn’t freedom a wonderful plus for our great country? How do we insure all Americans will enjoy freedom of anything if their lives are endangered?

A recent article complained the attorney general was usurping many freedoms, I must assume for personal gratification or a conservative conspiracy. I would imagine the 3,000 victims of the World Trade Center would have gladly given up some freedoms deemed necessary to stop terrorism.

Liberalism constantly berates government activities generated by conservatism as a threat to their freedoms. This is not a question of being a good American patriot which means nothing if you’re deceased.

Good can’t fight evil if we play by their rules. Sometimes sacrifice becomes a necessity to survive, and normalcy will return when American safety is assured.

It’s probably safe to assume Janet Reno is lauded for saving Clinton’s hide while Ashcroft is chastised for attempting to save us Americans.

If we lose this skirmish with terrorism, rights and freedoms will be nonexistent so it would seem that temporary cooperation would be a small price to pay for freedom and possibly your life. Let’s abandon politics and band together as one to win this fight.
