Put facts on the table

There’s nothing wrong with optimism as long as it’s connected to reality. Unfortunately, President Bush’s rosy, stay-the-course view of the Iraq war seems completely disconnected to what’s happening there.

That’s why the president should release the CIA’s July report on the future of Iraq, as long as all secret portions of the report are edited out.

We need all the facts on the table so that we can have a meaningful debate about what our country should do next in Iraq.
