Put an end to legalized plunder disguised as U.S. foreign aid

President Bush’s foreign aid gravy train rolls on. Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill spent nearly two weeks with rock star Bono in Africa looking at the urban squalor typical of Africa’s destitute. O’Neill returned convinced that the United States has a “moral duty” to promptly send at least one billion dollars in new aid to African countries that promise to mend their ways.

In addition to this “compassionate conservatism,” Russian President Vladimir Putin has been pledged $20 million from the West “to help the Russians dismantle their nuclear weapons and secure the rest from theft by terrorists.”

This sorry, ongoing saga of foreign aid under the Bush administration serves to illustrate that a Republican administration (camouflaged as conservative) can carry out the Insiders’ agenda much more effectively than flagrant liberals such as “Slick Willie” Clinton.

President George W. Bush is always willing to assist corrupt foreign Communist (excuse me) ex-Communist governments and countries with generous new “aid packages,” with the money being taken from the pockets of the hard-pressed American taxpayer.

Enough is enough! Write your representative and demand that we put an end to this legalized plunder.
