Public meeting set for Bridgeport area

The 2.6-mile Bridgeport section of the South Yuba River upstream from Englebright Lake, will be the subject of a public planning meeting from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the L.O.V.E. Building, 660 Minnie St., Condon Park in Grass Valley.

This area, which includes the headquarters of the South Yuba River State Park, receives more visitors than any other point along the river. Discussions will continue on visitor capacity, especially for parking and beach crowds. A series of possible management actions to resolve issues brought up by participants will also be reviewed and considered.

The South Yuba River is a popular outdoor recreation destination for many Nevada County residents.
