Protect kids at bus stops

I think I need your help in ensuring the safety of our children at school bus stops in the mornings and afternoons. At my infant’s daycare and at the bus stop for my seven-year-old son, I am frustrated, along with our bus drivers, with cars and drivers not even slowing down, let alone stopping, for the bus’ red lights. Bus drivers are finding it necessary to honk and wave their arms out the windows, trying to protect our kids. This seems so unnecessary in an educated society. I’m thinking more education is needed, otherwise it might be an issue for law enforcement. Whichever it is, this Mom is asking for help in awareness so our kids can continue to enjoy a safe Nevada County. After all, they’re why we’re here.
