Praise for the Ballards

I felt as though I had to respond to the Feb. 26 letter regarding the Ballard adoption and Nathaniel. I strongly believe the Ballards deserve nothing but praise for how they have handled this entire situation.

They were approached by a young mother who had been left by the father of her unborn child almost as soon as she told him she was pregnant. Jennifer Ballard spent almost a year caring for Nathaniel in more ways than I can list here, but anyone with children themselves can imagine.

I really have to wonder if anyone would be able to even locate Nathaniel’s biological father if his mother had chosen to try and raise him all by herself. This is what she was facing before she found the gracious Ballard family. To Brad, Jennifer and Riley: You know who your friends are and you know we love and admire you!
