Pot isn’t harmless

People getting severely beaten, homes being invaded and burglarized – sooner or later someone is going to be killed.

Am I talking about people in some foreign country? No, indeed! It is happening quite frequently right here in our fair town. I read about instances often. All because of this so-called harmless plant, marijuana.

There are those few who need it due to a medical condition. For the most part, marijuana prescriptions are used for one purpose only: to make money selling drugs legally. The largest cash crop in this county, marijuana is a gateway drug. I am not saying everyone who smokes pot will become a drug addict, but every addict I know smoked pot. And I know quite a few. I am a recovering addict myself.

If you grow marijuana, you are placing your life, the lives of your family and your property at risk. Marijuana is a drug that you can test positive for months after you stop using it. It is illegal to be driving under the influence of any drug. Maybe the driver’s license of all who have a ‘scrip be restricted or suspended. I wonder how many would keep growing legally? Just my opinion!
