Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

• At 7:55 a.m., a caller on the 300 block of South Church Street reported that a 1982 Datsun Z280 had been stolen. The car was white and had a license plate number of 2KRX967.



• Child abuse was reported at 1:54 p.m. on the 200 block of Sutton Way.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office




Monday

• Real estate signs were reported to have been stolen near Highway 174. A caller requested extra police patrols in the area.

• At 4:26 p.m., a caller on the 13900 block of South Ponderosa Way, near Squirrel Creek Road, reported that his or her residence had been burglarized, and that firearms were missing.

• Three boys were reportedly hiding in bushes at 5:05 p.m. on the intersection of Alta Sierra and Names drives and shooting some type of weapons at passing vehicles.

Fire calls

Monday

• A vehicle reportedly ran into and killed two horses at 7:43 p.m. on the 10100 block of Wolf Road. Higgins Area fire crews responded to the call.
