Grass Valley Police Department


• People were reportedly swimming naked in Memorial Park Pool at 12:28 a.m. Police cited two juveniles for breaking several city ordinances.


• A laptop computer was reported stolen, at 8:40 a.m., from a business on the 100 block of Catherine Lane.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


• A caller on Kenwood Drive reported at 1:57 p.m. that two men had just been at his home and said they were selling Kirby vacuums. The caller said he called the company and was told that they had no such employees with the names they provided.

• At 4:39 p.m., a caller at Western Gateway Park, on the 18000 block of Penn Valley Drive, reported that a man was “exposing himself in a sexual manner” near a creek.

Fire calls


• An escaped control burn was reported at 12 p.m. at a property on Highway 49, north of Alta Sierra. Nevada County Consolidated and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection crews put the small fire out.
