Grass Valley Police Department


• At 12:21 a.m., a caller reported that a 1991 red Subaru Legacy had been stolen from the park and ride downtown. Police later located the car.

• A caller on the 300 block of Sutton Way reported that someone had set off a fire extinguisher in a laundry room at 7:42 p.m. Several juveniles were listed as possible suspects.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


• A car was reported stolen at 7:54 a.m. from the 18900 block of Colfax Highway. The caller said that the car had a laptop computer and a medical bag inside.

• At 2:41 p.m., a caller, a girls basketball coach, reported that he was assaulted by the coach of an opposing team at a game earlier that day.

• A caller on the 16200 block of Lower Colfax Road reported at 9:51 p.m. that when he and several people returned home, there were two men there. When the two suspects were spotted, they reportedly ran away.
