• At 3:58 p.m., a caller reported that a suspicious man was annoying children at Albertsons on the 12000 block of Nevada City Highway. The man had a gray beard and a green tattoo on his inner right wrist.

• A person at the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital emergency room reported at 8:14 p.m. that someone struck him over the head with a hammer on the 15100 block of Manzanita Diggins Road.

• Dawn Theresa Lee, 33, of Penn Valley, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, petty theft, possession of stolen property, forgery, and possession of a forged or stolen credit card, all felonies.

Lee allegedly tried to shoplift from Raley’s grocery store. A credit card that belonged to someone else was found in her purse.
