Grass Valley Police Department


• At 3:14 p.m., a caller reported possible identity theft. The caller said a credit card company called her and told her that someone tried to open a card in her name.


• A 1988 black and red Chevrolet truck was reported stolen from the Safeway parking lot at 7:37 p.m. According to the owner of the truck, two firearms, a .22-caliber rifle and a Deringer handgun were inside of the truck. The truck was reportedly left unlocked, with the keys on the driver’s seat. The truck’s license plate number is 6E08475.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


• Credit card fraud was reported at 11:16 a.m. by an Alta Sierra man at the front counter of the sheriff’s office.
