Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

• A previously stolen vehicle was found on the 11500 block of Lower Colfax Road at 10:40 a.m.



Nevada County Sheriff’s Office

Monday




• At 11:06 a.m., a caller on the 17700 block of Blue Tent School Road reported the theft of five guns from the residence.

• A caller on the 13200 block of Grant Hill Road reported that her identification had been stolen and it appeared that someone got a bank card in her name.

• A locked vehicle was reported burglarized on the 24100 block of Green Valley Road. A tool box containing $400 in tools was stolen, along with fishing equipment and an ax.

Tuesday

• Several people were reportedly held against their will on the 10500 block of Welsh Lane. A caller reported that the people were being kept in a mine shaft under his home. Authorities had not found any evidence of such a crime.

California Highway Patrol

Monday

• At 5:06 p.m., the highway patrol reported that officers were involved in a foot pursuit on Dorsey Drive. The officers were reportedly chasing a man with reddish hair. The man was about 6 feet tall, 165 pounds and was wearing a white shirt and shoes. It was not clear why the officers were chasing the man or if he was caught.
