Grass Valley Police Department


• At 10:22 a.m., a caller at Weaver Auto Sales, on the 500 block of East Main Street, reported that a 2005 Cadillac CTS had possibly been stolen. The vehicle was later located using OnStar. The car had been abandoned near the intersection of Cedar Ridge Road and Highway 174.

• The Record Connection, on Sutton Way, reported that a man in his 40s, wearing a brown flannel shirt and brown hat, with a swollen mouth, stole a charity money display that was full of change.


• A caller at a business on the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported possibly accepting three forged checks at 10:15 a.m.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


• A woman on the 12000 block of Woodacre Road reported at 8:35 a.m. that she had been assaulted at her home. She later reported that she had just been pushed and was not hurt.

• At 11:25 a.m., a caller at the Rood Administrative Center at 950 Maidu Ave. reported that while he was inside the building, someone entered his locked vehicle and moved his things around.
