Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

• Donald Lee McGuckin, 38, of Nevada City, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, being armed with a firearm while committing a felony, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, being a felon while carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public.



• At 5:08 p.m., a white 1985 Toyota pickup was reported stolen. The truck had a camper shell that had a broken rear window. The window was covered with wood. The truck also had several yellow smiley-face stickers on the front bumper.

Sunday

• At 2:43 p.m., a caller reported that his vehicle had been broken into and several items were stolen the previous night when it was parked on Chalk Bluff Road.

Monday

• A caller on Rattlesnake Road reported at 8:21 a.m. that equipment had been stolen from a shed at a job site on the road. The equipment was worth about $35,000, the caller said.
